Though the start of Notre Dame’s soccer team is roughly eight months away, Thursday was an important day for the Fighting Irish, as a pair of former players were selected in the first round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
Seniors Ryan Finley and Dillon Powers will be taking their game to the next level.
Finley was selected by the Columbus Crew with the ninth overall pick, while Powers was chosen two picks later (11th) by the Colorado Rapids.
